Joy is a personal care home in Loganville. Personal care is the heart of what we do: steady help with the parts of daily life that get harder to manage alone, given by people who know your parent as a person.
Help with the day, day to day
Joy helps with bathing, dressing, grooming, and moving safely from room to room. The help is hands-on when it needs to be and stays out of the way when it does not, and it always keeps your parent's dignity first.
Medications are given on time by staff who know each resident, not handed from a cart by someone passing through. Housekeeping and laundry are handled here, so the room stays clean and the clothes stay fresh without your parent lifting a finger.
Real meals, and someone awake all night
Meals are cooked here and eaten at a shared table, and the kitchen works around real dietary needs. Someone is awake and on-site around the clock, so help is there at three in the morning the same as at three in the afternoon.
Care built around one person
Because Joy has 24 residents, Mellissa Daniel and her team can learn your parent: the routines, the preferences, the history. When something changes, they notice, because they knew what normal looked like yesterday.
What a day of care looks like
Nothing here runs on a rigid schedule, but the help arrives when it is needed. Here is the plain shape of a day.
Morning
Help with a shower, dressing, and grooming, at whatever pace the morning needs. Then breakfast at the shared table.
Midday
Medications on time, from staff who know each resident. Lunch, then rest or company in the living room.
Afternoon
A walk, a visit, or an activity if she wants one. Housekeeping and laundry happen quietly in the background.
Evening
Dinner, evening medications, and help getting ready for bed. Someone stays awake and on-site all night.

As much as any home can promise. Joy has 24 residents, so the faces stay familiar. That is the whole point of a small home: the person helping her today is usually the one who helped her yesterday.
That is common, and it is usually about dignity, not the bath. Staff go slowly, keep her covered and warm, and never force it. Often it just takes the right person and the right time of day, which a small team learns quickly.
